Classes

The Lutz Children’s Museum is a real museum designed just for children. They may only see the play and fun, but professional museum curators have planned these activities carefully. These experiences promote a love of learning and thirst for knowledge and the skills learned here will help children to be more successful in school and in life.

Museum teaching methods focus on self-discovery and exploration. Real museum artifacts or live animals are integrated into almost every program giving children the opportunity to experience the world first hand. Concerts and trips give young learners the chance to see arts and culture up close and to develop their own tastes and appreciation.

After School Programs

We are taking the museum on the road, and hope to make a stop at your school. We will work with you to design an after school enrichment program, vacation camp, or a full-day extension on early release days.

Professional museum educators will deliver fun and educational programs at your site. Longer programs include breaks for recreation and snack.

Programs are completely funded through registration fees. Schools just provide the space and distribute the information to parents! Cost is based on the length and number of sessions in a series.

Junior Golf Programs

The Golf Club offers Junior Golf programs for all levels of young golfers, from beginner to elite. In each of our Junior Golf programs, golfers work in small groups with experienced, supportive instructors. Low student-to-teacher ratios ensure that students learn at their own speed and are given maximum individual attention. Juniors also have the ability to try out for the Elite Junior Program, an advanced program for golfers ages 10-18 interested in taking their game to the next level.

Young players are taught the fundamentals of the swing, including proper grip, body alignment, and posture. Advanced players work with instructors to develop a consistent repeating motion and to learn mental strategies to apply on the course. State-of-the-art swing analysis equipment, an indoor sand bunker, chipping stations and a putting green are all used to help young golfers develop a complete game. Safety, rules of the game, etiquette and mental strategy are also part of the curriculum.

After-School Program

The After-School Program at the Golf Club allows parents to complete their workday by offering various levels of golfers ages 5 - 14 the opportunity to work with teaching professionals in a fun, supportive and safe environment.

This 7-week program meets for 1 hour a week and focuses on the fundamentals of the game including basic swing technique and short game instruction. Young golfers practice their game under the supervision and instruction of our talented teaching professionals. A low student-to-teacher ratio allows for individual training and attention for all participants.

Family Clinic
