Kids School Vacation Camps and Workshops!

FEBRUARY SCHOOL VACATION KIDS CAMP

FEBRUARY 17-21

9 am – 3 pm

Bay Street Theatre

$385 for the weeklong camp per child

The camps will be led by Bethany Dellapolla, and include instruction in acting, singing, dance, performance & more. In addition, there are fun, creative theater games and improvs to help develop skills and to encourage students to stretch their abilities as young actors. Students will learn standard songs and choreography, and are also encouraged to create their own original work. The camp ends in a performance on Friday, at the theater for friends and family.

“The sheer fun of improv comedy and acting exercises, or learning a song or developing a short theater piece, engages children in problem solving, creative thinking, and collaboration,” says Dellapolla. “Through simple character study, they walk in someone else’s shoes and gain insight into themselves and others.”

Camp size is limited and always sells out. For payment and more information, please call Lorien at 631-725-0818 ext. 129. For more information about the camps or other programming at Bay Street Theatre, log on to http://www.baystreet.org.

Summer Camp 2014 registration is now open!

Imagination Stage offers its filmmaking program in a unique and comprehensive camp environment. Young filmmakers are placed in small teams to complete short narrative films from concept to final cut. Emphasis is placed on the fundamentals and process of filmmaking: story analysis, pre-production techniques, composition, cinematography, editing, and sound. Professional films are screened and analyzed while campers begin to create their own aesthetic.

Campers who have participated in previous film camps and/or classes are paired with filmmakers of comparable experience or may choose to participate in the Advanced Filmmaking Academy to reach the next level of their education in the craft of filmmaking. Projects are screened in an end of camp premiere in the Imagination Stage’s Christopher and Dana Reeve Studio Theatre. View sample videos from our Filmmaking Students

ENROLLMENT

Three and Six Week Sessions

Iroquois Springs offers families an option to choose from one of two FULL three-week sessions or a full-season camp experience of six weeks. In addition, campers who attend our first three-week session always have the option to extend their stay for the entire six weeks, if space is available. Whether campers choose three or six weeks, they will experience the entire time at camp as part of a cohesive group of friends and staff.

What are the benefits of three and six week sessions?

Camp starts on, or around, July 1st and ends on, or around, August 11th. With a later starting date, Iroquois Springs campers don’t have to rush from the end of school to the camp bus. And with an earlier ending date, there is plenty of time is left after camp for family time. In addition, campers coming from parts of the country where school starts a little earlier can partake in all of the final week’s activities!

Campers

Great Options for Families

Perhaps a three-week session fits the bill perfectly for your family. Or, this might be the first sleep away camp experience for your child — what better options than to choose a three-week session with the opportunity to extend to six weeks? If it is a full-season you are interested in, four weeks may be too short and eight weeks may be too long. In that case, six weeks is perfect!
