The Museum of Interesting Things is a traveling exhibition that demonstrates antiques and inventions.  We provide lively, interactive programs at your location that include a brief history of each item, as well as interesting and amusing facts. Our purpose is to inspire creativity, innovation and an entrepreneurial spirit. Learning from the past to create a better future.

Currently available to host any event, we are here to please as we bring the past to you and show how technology evolved today with the items of yesterday. Our shows are completely interactive and audience participation makes us hit with what ever your event may be. Whether you are booking for a Class Trip for your students, to booking a private party. No event too small or too big and all shows can be customized to suit your needs. Let us host your next event with a great educational lesson as well as a crowd pleaser.

All the demonstrations are hands on. We let our audience touch and operate the enterpreneurial and inventive spirit of the past, and learn the origins of the modern world around them. We’ll capture your interest with intriguing antiques that people encountered and used during the WW 2 era.

A demonstration of items like the telegraph and windup paragraph is sure to catch your attention!

We then describe rationing and Victory Gardens using items from the Applebee’s Menu! Followed by lunch!

Enjoy a delicious selection of either a hamburger or cheese burger, a chicken finger platter or mac & cheese followed by an ice cream, dessert and unlimited soft drinks!

School Programs

The Museum of Interesting Things is a traveling interactive demonstration/exhibition of antiques and inventions inspiring innovation and creativity – learning from the past to create a more inventive future. Our demonstrations are hands on. We let people touch some items and truly experience what life was like many years ago. We bring items that show what inventions led to ipods and other items in our everyday lives. There are 8 departments that coincide with the core curriculum and STEAM (STEM with the Arts added to it) in our public schools as well as being fun and interesting for kids and adults! We can customize the exhibition to where you are currently in your curriculum also!

Birthday Parties

Having an event or party, want to entertain your crowd in a way they have never seen before? The Museum of Interesting Things will set up an exhibition that will entertain your guests, and they may even learn something new, old and fun!  Imagine how they’ll feel when they can actually try to take a picture with an 1800′s box wooden camera…yes…it’s even a Kodak! Or actually play an Edison Cylinder Phonograph player, the one with the big horn. We can customize the show to your likes or surprise you.  Remember, we have a quack medical department AND a toy section. We’ll even go into the crowd and engage them with some of our Interesting Things! Yes, they can touch some items as well as enjoy our demos. We can also work with any age group & budget from grades 1 through 12, college students to senior citizens. Camp Shows

Need something unique and special to energize the kids and show the parents you have educational value. Yes, even Mikey will love it (anyone remember that?!?)!  The Museum of Interesting Things is interactive and fun and we come to you, we’re a traveling museum. We can even customize the presentation to the unique personality of your organization or surprise you with our cool interesting things. Our themes coincide with the CORE curriculum in the public schools as well as STEM. These days people have even added arts to STEM to make STEAM! We are there with you on that one too! We demo a steam engine artistically!
