NotesKids Summer Music Theatre Camps! The next Bay Street Theatre KIDS SUMMER MUSIC THEATER CAMPS will take place July 30 - August 3 or August 6-10! 9:30 am - 12:30 pm daily at Studio 3 in Bridgehampton; led by Susan Galardi and Bethany Dellapolla
This camp is very popular and books up quickly. Each week long session includes classes and games incorporating every aspect of theatre including acting, singing, performance and dance. Theatre Camp is recommended for children ages 8 to 12 years old. $425 per child or $800 for both weeks. Students are required to dress in comfortable clothes and bring their willingness to learn. Bay Street will provide the rest, including a snack. Meet the Camp Instructors
In the Hamptons, Susan was cast as Miss Maudie in the Equity production of TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD at the Bay Street Theater; read leading dramatic roles in Naked Stage productions at Guild Hall; and played a leading role in her original children's musical, WHO IS NATALIE SPOO?, for which she wrote the book, lyrics and music for the 10-person musical. Susan also wrote book/lyrics/music for her musical LIVING PROOF, produced three times in New York City to critical praise. In the area of improv/comedy, Susan appeared in many pre-taped sketch comedy spots on "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" and "Comedy Central." "The sheer fun of improv comedy and acting exercises, or learning a song or developing a short theater piece, engages children in problem solving, creative thinking, and collaboration. Through simple character study, they walk in someone else's shoes and gain insight into themselves and others," says Galardi.
At Bay Street Kids Theatre Camp, Bethany Dellapolla leads improvs and acting exercises, and teaches all dance and choreography. She received her BA in both Theatre Performance and Radio/Television Production from SUNY New Paltz. Currently, she is pursuing her Master's Degree in Childhood Education (Birth - 6), and is set to graduate in May with honors. She is a proud member of the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists. Regional and NYC Acting Credits include: FOR NO GOOD REASON (Margie), WORKING (Delores Dante), THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE (Olive Ostrovsky), CABARET (Frenchie/Lady #2), THE LARAMIE PROJECT (Romaine, et al), COMPANY (Jenny), RUTHLESS! (Lita Encore), VAUDVILLE FOLLIES (Dancer), THE NEW WORLD (Featured Vocalist, NYC) and THE MISS FIRECRACKER CONTEST (Popeye, NYC). Biography

Biography
From its earliest days, the Wildlife Conservation Society has been a leader in animal wellbeing. The flagship Bronx Zoo established its first veterinary department in 1901. At the time, the department consisted only of a pathologist and a veterinarian. Today, the Wildlife Health Sciences division includes departments of clinical care, pathology, nutrition, and field veterinary programs. The Wildlife Health Center, located on Bronx Zoo grounds, serves more than 15,000 animals from the four WCS zoos in New York. The state-of-the-art Aquatic Animal Health Center at the New York Aquarium opened in 2008 to meet the unique challenges of caring for its collection of marine animals. The high-tech hospital includes a laboratory and an operating room, several pools for patients with flippers, X-ray machines, and a kitchen for preparing meals for residents of all sizes, from a tiny seahorse to a 3,000-pound walrus. The world is good at attaching names to our physical, intellectual or medical characteristics…..cancer, disabled, autistic, blind, deaf…..you’ve heard them. But this worldly tag doesn’t change the fact that God celebrates each of us as His creation. Here at Camp Barnabas we celebrate that, too. We are a God-centered organization that upholds the truths of God’s word and shares with all who come through our gates our belief that everyone is uniquely created by Him to live a life of ability. To that end, our staff resolutely pursues activities that push the limits of what the outside world says is impossible for these incredible people who are our campers. We take every summer camp activity apart and put it back in a way that is doable for anyone who wants to participate – no matter what limitations are placed on them outside our camp grounds. Things like a high ropes course, canoeing, and swimming. We invite all people with special needs and chronic illnesses to embrace life as Jesus made them and reach their fullest potential. And we invite those who wish to serve them to come experience a life changed by the beauty of helping someone realize the value of their uniqueness. Camp Barnabas exists to provide life-changing opportunities to people with special needs in a Christian camp setting. We offer acceptance and love to more than 1,300 campers with special needs and chronic diseases - and their siblings - in locations across the United States. Through adaptive activities, people with physical, intellectual, and/or medical challenges become participants, not observers, in the world around them. They leave Camp Barnabas knowing they are uniquely created to live lives of ability. It might seem that an institution like a museum is carved in stone, but since its founding in 1912, the Delaware Art Museum has actually changed a great deal. Our Centennial Timeline, installed in the Museum’s Orientation Hallway, is a look at how things were and how they have changed, both here at the Museum and in the community that we serve. To put the Museum’s historical achievements in context, the Timeline mirrors notable Museum milestones with important local and world events. A century ago, the Museum started life with an original purchase of approximately 100 Howard Pyle paintings. That collection has grown to include 12,000 works of art by great American masters such as Winslow Homer, artists of the Pre-Raphaelite Brotherhood, and well-known American illustrators. The Museum’s name and physical space have also changed considerably. Originally called the Wilmington Society of the Fine Arts, and then the Delaware Art Center, the Museum officially became the Delaware Art Museum in the early 1970s. And although we spent decades traveling around—with no permanent gallery space—the Museum now encompasses 80,000 square feet of exhibition and administrative space, four studio art classrooms, and a sprawling 9-acre sculpture park—the first of its kind in the region. The Centennial Timeline traces the Delaware Art Museum’s evolution through a century of growth and change. This interactive installation encourages visitors to use sticky notes that share their own special memories of the Museum, and we’re proud to have it on view through March 2013.SUMMER ART CAMPThe Delaware Art Museum’s summer art program for children ages 6 – 12 provides professional instruction and a creative experience in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. NotesPrograms and Activites The programs at Iroquois Springs are power-packed and diverse. Campers participate in a wide variety of activities, many of which they may never have tried before! In all our activities, the instruction and supervision is hands-on. Campers are encouraged to try everything, give it their best shot and have a lot of fun doing it! This allows each camper to progress and improve their skill development at their own pace, giving him or her self-confidence and a sense of accomplishment, while allowing for spontaneity. Iroquois Springs recognizes the importance of both community experience and personal discovery by combining a healthy mix of group and individually selected activities. Our younger campers will primarily participate in group activities that allow them to learn about sharing, cooperation and teamwork. There are also opportunities for individually elected activities, and as campers get older their chance to choose more electives increases. Our ActivitiesOur comprehensive program consists of land and water sports including horseback riding, art, theater and extensive outdoor adventure activities. For a complete list of activities at Camp Iroquois Springs Click Here To download a printable copy of our camp map, please click here. Biography
